Dr. Katie Johnson
Dr. Johnson is from from Louisville, Kentucky, and is a graduate of the University of
Louisville School of Dentistry. After earning her degree, she enhanced her skills during
a one-year residency at Bay Pines VA Hospital. Following her residency, Dr. Johnson
practiced dentistry in St. Petersburg alongside her aunt, before deciding to relocate
closer to home in Madison, Indiana. However, having missed the Sunshine State, she is
excited to return to Florida.
Dr. Johnson values building strong relationships with her patients while delivering
compassionate and comfortable dental care. She enjoys general dentistry and joined
the profession with a commitment to lifelong learning. She keeps up to date with the
latest advancements through ongoing continuing education in various areas of dentistry.
Dr. Johnson is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the
Florida Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Johnson enjoys staying active by watching and playing
sports—especially soccer. She loves discovering new restaurants, spoiling her cat,
spending quality time with her fiancé, Garrett, and traveling to visit friends and family.
Dr. Cameron Kocan
Dr. Cameron Kocan is a dedicated and experienced general dentist with a passion for helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. He provides personalized care using the latest techniques in preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
After earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida, Dr. Kocan has continued to pursue advanced training in dentistry ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Patients appreciate Dr. Kocan’s gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to clear communication. Whether you need a routine cleaning or a complete smile makeover, Dr. Kocan is here to help you feel confident every step of the way.
When not in the office, Dr. Kocan enjoys spending time with family, traveling and volunteering in the community.

Office Manager
Maria has been a Dental Assistant since 2014. She has one daughter, who she enjoys taking to the park, the zoo, and the beach. Maria also enjoys reading on her days off. Her favorite part about dentistry is helping to create a new smile for someone.
Emily
Front Desk Receptionist
Emily is originally from Pasadena, Maryland but currently lives in St. Petersburg, Florida. Emily comes to us with 2 years of dental experience and got into Dentistry after having a traumatic experience as a child and having to learn over the years how to properly take care of her smile by other Dentists who inspired her to want to enter into Dentistry. When she is not at work, Emily enjoys day crafts, pilates, yoga, roller skating, and hammocking. Emily also has a 3 yr old Golden Doodle who is as big as she is who enjoys car rides and beach dates!
Jenna
Front Desk Receptionist
Jenna is a lifelong resident of Clearwater, Florida. After earning her degree in cultural communication, she wanted to pursue a career that would let her interact with people and help them, leading her to Seminole Dentistry. In her free time, Jenna enjoys playing the cello and going to the park.
Elaine
Dental Assistant
Elaine is a certified dental assistant and graduated from Concord Dental in Tampa, FL in 1993. Elaine has been utilizing and perfecting her dental assisting skills for many years and always enjoys great satisfaction to be a part of her patients journey to healthy and beautiful smiles. Outside of the office, Elaine loves being a mom to her 15 year old, spending time on the water, or outside in the Florida sunshine.
Gwen
Dental Assistant
Gwen is a Certified Dental Assistant graduated from Central Florida Institute in 2006. She enjoys working with patients and seeing patients happy gives her the energy to keep working. In her time off from work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Jessie
Dental Assistant
Jessie is originally from Cuba and currently lives in Clearwater and has three years of dental experience. Jessie initially got into the dental field after working in the hospitality/tourism industry and wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. When not at work, Jessie loves the outdoors, reading, and listening to music. Jessie enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two dogs, and two cats. She also loves taking road trips.
Sam
Dental Hygienist
Sam is practically a Florida native. She moved to Florida from her native country Vietnam in 1989, with her aunt and uncle. Sam graduated from Dental Assistant school in 2006, and continued her education in dental hygiene at St. Petersburg College. She has been working as a Dental Hygienist for 14 years. She is very passionate about dental health and has made her mission to stress the importance of it. Her goal with every patient is to educate them on the overall oral health and arm them with the necessary techniques and tools so that they can maintain a healthy mouth for life. In her spare time, Sam likes to spend quality time with her family, taking her kids to dance lessons and attending their competitions.
Alina
Dental Hygienist
Alina joined Seminole Dentistry in 2022. Alina is a St. Petersburg College graduate and has been a registered dental hygienist since 2018. Alina speaks three languages! She enjoys improving the oral health of our community!
